ABOUT
After more than 15 years of working on environmental policy, Julia Chunn-Heer founded Coastal Consulting to utilize her diplomacy skills and experience to advance environmental protection and address the climate crisis through a solution-oriented approach. Julia utilizes her training in mediation and experience to find a path forward. She graduated sum cum laude from UCLA in 2003. She has worked at the Neuropsychiatric Institute, Coast Law Group, the Surfrider Foundation, and was the General Manager of Surfrider Australia.
In her roles, Julia has garnered extensive experience applying for and managing large grants, she has worked with all levels of government from local municipalities to the White House during the Obama Administration.
In January 2020 she launched Coastal Consulting, a small solution-based consulting firm to support good projects and planning efforts, to ease conflict and protect natural resources.
